Custom fitting golf clubs
involves several easy measurements and a quick self-assessment
of your swing and overall game. Our method is simple, accurate,
and effective.
Our
expert club fitters will study your swing tempo and club head
speed to properly fit you with the right shaft.
Ball
trajectory will be discussed. Your clubs will be ordered
with the correct lie angle based on your personal golf swing.
| Determining Shaft
Length: Shaft length is how long the
golf club is as measured from the butt end of the grip down to
where the club meets the ground.
The standard length of a steel
shafted driver for a man is 43 inches. Graphite shafted
drivers are manufactured 1 inch longer that steel shafted clubs.
Graphite shafts weigh less than steel shafts which allows the
manufacture to produce a longer club with same swing weight.
The proper length of a golf
club is a function of your height and the length of your arms.
During your fitting we determine the correct length for you with
a few simple measurements.

Determining Shaft Flex: Flex is the stiffness of the golf club, which is provided by
the type of golf club shaft that is used. Generally, stiffer
shafts are better for faster swing speeds. Common shaft flexes
are Men's Regular, Stiff, Extra Stiff, Senior, and Ladies.
Graphite shaft flex terminology uses Firm and Extra Firm instead
of Stiff.
The proper flex of a golf club is a function of your strength
to create swing speed and your overall golfing ability. During
your club fitting we will determine the correct flex for you
based on your golf swing, feel and ball flight.

|
Determining Shaft Kick-Point:
Golf shafts have what is called a Kick-Point. Slower
swing speeds generally benefit from a lower kick-point shaft,
which helps get the ball up in the air while faster swing speeds
tend to favor higher kick points.
Loft & Lie
Adjustments:
| |
A lie
adjustment requires bending the hardened metal in which an
iron is cast. We strongly advise getting your lie fitting
done in person. Online fittings while accurate do not take
into account your natural ball address. Some players are
more naturally upright and some like to the ball. Once you
have lie adjusted a club it is usually not a good idea to
re-adjust if you later find it was the wrong adjustment. |
 |
Usually no more than a 2 degree
adjustment upright or flat is needed, therefore we only perform
lie adjustments to either extreme. Cast clubs are a poured
hardened metal and bending could lead to the hosel breaking,
therefore we CAN NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for
cast clubs breaking during the bending process.
Loft adjustments usually only
apply to wedges. We recommend keeping the loft set at its
original manufactured settings. Again, in the bending
process for loft cast clubs are a poured hardened metal and
bending could lead to the hosel breaking, therefore we
CAN NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for cast clubs breaking
during the bending process.
